On Defence Day, the Pakistani Embassy in Rabat, Morocco, held a special ceremony to honour the bravery and sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers who defended the country's borders and sovereignty during the 1965 war, as well as to reaffirm Pakistan's commitment to its defense.

A distinguished group of civic leaders and diplomats from other countries attended the solemn occasion thanks to the invitation extended by Pakistani Ambassador to Morocco Mohammad Sami, which promoted harmony and collaboration.

Abdellatif Ouahbi, Morocco's Minister of Justice, Anas Khaless, the Ambassador and Chief of Protocol, and other distinguished government officials honored the Defence Day celebration. They gathered together to honor the occasion.

The attendees honored Pakistan's brave military forces, and Ambassador Sami gave a moving speech in Arabic. In addition to the ongoing violations in Gaza and Palestine, he called on the Arab and Muslim world to take notice of the serious human rights breaches and atrocities carried out by India in the Indian unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to take action against these injustices.

He praised the Pakistani army's outstanding history and its crucial contribution in preserving world peace as a result of its involvement in UN peacekeeping operations.

Ambassador Sami agreed that the country may now sleep easy because of the soldiers of Pakistan's heroic sacrifices.

Ambassador Sami emphasized how the Pakistani army's valor and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism have been acknowledged on a global scale. He was proud of the army's professional brilliance, saying it is a lighthouse of hope for the country.

The Pakistani army consistently ranks among the first responders in times of natural catastrophes or national emergencies, displaying their unshakable commitment to defending the nation and its citizens.

The cutting of a gorgeous cake featuring the vivid flags of Morocco and Pakistan as a touching reminder of the two countries' unwavering friendship and unity was one of the event's highlights.
